Yay! We still have Country Living Magazine

With the recent closing of so many favorite Magazines, browsing the Magazine Isle at the store isn't as much fun anymore. I did find the June 2009 of Country Living & had to grab it~ it's a great Summery issue, I especially love their "Steal this idea"

I love this *Recycle*Re-use* project....using old drawers to create a bookcase~ how smart!!

The Wallpaper used to line the bookcase is by: Anthropologie, called Barking Mad. It couldn't be any cuter! Normally I'd look for vintage paper or Cath Kidston for Wallpapering projects~ I think I just added a new favorite to my list.

This picture makes me want to immediately go and paint the back of every cabinet & hutch I have. I think everything about this picture is just amazing~ what a beautiful way to display your Treasures.

I'm crazy about groupings of photos, pictures and paintings, you can never have too many....but I've found you can run out of wall space! Love their collection.

If you haven't picked up this issue yet, you should :)

Nice Surprise....

What a nice surprise to see one of your items on the Front Page. Luckily I noticed them while checking into Etsy...very exciting, it never gets old~ Thanks Admin :)

One of my latest purchases on Etsy. It pretty much wraps up what my mornings are like, not that I needed it as a reminder.

I bought it from allegrae she has so many cool buttons, magnets & mirrors. I ♥ my new button!

Dream Kitchen....

I love everything about this picture~ it's from one of my favorite Magazines Country Living. If I could put together my ultimate kitchen, it would look something like this.

While browsing through Etsy I found some great vintage finds that would fit perfectly in my dream kitchen.

Shopping List Saturday....Airstream

Everything about this picture says "Home Sweet Home". I'm not sure where my fascination with Airstream(or any kind of vintage trailer comes from)but when I see one I think cozy and homey~ just like a Cottage with a white picket fence!

This amazing Photo is by: NestaUsa of an Airstream Trailer at The Shady Dell, a Trailer Park that has 9 fully restored vintage aluminum travel trailers that you can rent for a day or a week. I know where I want to go on my next vacation.
I was pleasantly surprised to find so many Etsy items relating to the Airstream trailer, so take a look at my fun finds for this weeks Shopping List Saturday.

Summer Patio Decorating

1. Vintage Patio Chairs, 2. Reconstructed Outdoor Umbrella w/ Vintage Sheets, 3. Relishing the Last Days of Summer., 4. Clothes line, 5. SPRING PATIO, 6. pink 'n' scrolly, 7. Hammock dreams, 8. ::

This little Pink hose is the reason I decided I need to get started working on my backyard/patio for Summer. It's by Cynthia Rowley from her Whim collection at Target.

I keep Magazines in my car in case I'm ever sitting and waiting for anything like kids getting out of school, Ortho. appointments etc...
I've looked through this issue(Country Living June 2008) many times and for some reason the other day was the first time I remember noticing the hose. I couldn't get home quick enough to get to the computer and see if it's still available. Unfortunately they're not :( Oh, I had already pictured in my mind how cute it would look in my front and backyard.
With or without the hose, I'm working on turning my backyard into a comfy outdoor pastel haven. With my kids almost out of school for the summer, working on turning the backyard into an extension of the house~ a place where they can go to relax, read or just get away from one another will probably be more important to me than to them.
This wrought Iron table & chair set was abandoned in an alley way. I was visiting a friend when I spotted it, and couldn't get it into my car quick enough in case someone else noticed the treasure I was looking at. It just needs a glass top, seat covers and a good coat of paint.

It should look more like this, I think I'll be painting mine pink, blue or minty green??

This is my Vintage glider that I love, but have totally neglected. When I bought it about four years ago it was yellow~ so I painted it white. Now, I think I'll paint it pink & blue. I can't wait to find the perfect vintage sheeting to make cushion covers and pillows for it.

Which leads me to this weeks Shopping List Saturday: Outdoor Decor
