Well, I haven't come up with 101 things to do, but here are at least 10 ideas.
A few summers ago I made this duvet, and since I've been on a sewing kick lately I thought I'd make some envelope pillow covers to match.

There's that time a day when the sun hits our patio that makes a long hot summer day even hotter, so I thought this might be a good idea: a patio sunblocker/shade maker/super-bright-light around 4p.m. detractor! Made by sewing vintage sheets together~ pretty & functional♥
As usual, you can always find the best inspiration on flickr!

You can seriously get lost for hours browsing around this site~ no joke, I just did and now my butt's asleep so I gotta get up and move :/
Oh the "shademaker" is sooo beautiful!

As the last post said, "LOVE the shademaker!!". I have been picking up beautiful unused sheets like this for a song! So hard not to just put them on the bed, but really like some of your ideas! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the sheets, also, where did you find that bed? I've been searching for one forever.
ReplyDeleteThanks, it actually makes the heat a little more bearable lately :)
ReplyDeleteNadpip83- I bought my bed at a flea market years ago. I think I've bought most of my bed frames either at the flea market or thrift stores, they're the best places to find vintage beds.

What a lovely collection. I'm feeling inspired and ready to put some of my vintage goodies to use!
ReplyDeleteI love all the different colors and patterns of the vintage sheets you've shown!
ReplyDeleteI use them to create the backgrounds for shadowboxes I develop showcasing vintage baby clothes!
