My kids recently lost two friends, one a 16 year old girl{hit by a car while walking to school} and an 18 year old boy{he took his own life}. Within a month they attended two funerals. Every time I hear this song it makes me think of them and their families. It's a beautiful song, but one that's tough to listen to.
When I start to get irritated at my kids for something they did or didn't do{like my 16 year old who daily sheds his clothes leaving them randomly around the house{the kitchen, living room, the hallway, my room etc...}I think to myself "at least he's here for me to be picking up after". I can't imagine the heartache and sadness their parents must be going through.

I'll get back to posting about a few of my latest thrifting/flea market finds, but this is what's been on my mind lately....

I'm giving my kids and extra hug today. I can't imagine losing one of them. My son had a classmate who took his own life as well...a horrible, horrible tragedy.
That is a great song, had not heard it before.
my good friend passed away 10 years ago at the age of 21. Today when I drove through that highway, I thought of her. I have been sad and miss her for 10 years. I have been spending time with her mum in most Saturday. She is still very thin. She miss her. But the lorry driver who killed her in the accident is still walking free. I know he pay under table money to escape.
