Happy Birthday!

It's my youngests Birthday today. I can't believe how quickly they grow up. She loves waking up in a Sea of Balloons....I'm thinking I've got a few years left until she no longer thinks it's so cute :)

I can't believe it's already been six years since she was this small.

A couple of my favorite pictures.

Her first trip to the beach where she spent most of the time sitting on her towel trying to wipe the sand off her feet.

If there was only a way to keep them this small forever!

Vintage Beach Pails...

I would love to start a collection of Vintage Beach/Sand Pails! I had a friend who had a shelf that ran along the wall in her hallway with some of the cutest Pails lined up one after the other. I've wanted to get my hands on some for years but they can be pretty pricey. To get an idea of just how sought after they are, stop off at Huxtins. They have a huge selection for sale with prices ranging from $60 - $165. So for now my best bet will be keeping my eye out for them at Flea Markets, Thrift Stores and Estate Sales.

1. vintage tin sand pail, 2. jersey shore, 3. Knitting Needles, 4. Chien Pail, 5. vintage pails, 6. Thrifted Pail

Seriously, how cute is that?!!

Recycle Reuse Repurpose Vintage Jewelry

I loved this video of Jewelry designer LuLu Frost. You get a glimpse into her studio and a look at some of her amazing vintage jewelry pieces and unbelievable finds. She also shows you how to put together a braclet~ which seems easy enough even for a beginner to do.

Love this video, very inspiring!!

It feels like Summer....

Today it's unusually warm. 93 degrees and man is it Hot! My kids even dragged out(and put up themselves)their 1100 gallon pool the other day, which isn't an easy task!
When I was at the store this morning I saw a woman in the cutest sundress. It made me realize I have none, and that I really need to get a few before summer...or as soon as possible.

This is by: Forever21. I like the halter style, and the fact that it's only $24.80

I love tube tops, and a tube top dress~ even better! This is also from Forever21, and only $19.80. The pockets are cute but you might not want to overload them....or you might lose your top!

Another cute tube top smocked strapless dress by: Forever21~ $27.80

This is probably my favorite(minus the shoes). It's a Roxy dress from: Zappos.com, it's a little more expensive than the others at $55.50.

And what's a sundress without a cute pair of flip-flops? I just found the best web-site called My Diva's Closet where I found these cute 2" platform flip-flops in vibrant colors for only $12. If you live in flip-flops like I do in the summer you'll want to check out their selection~ I was really surprised at how reasonable their prices were.

Spring Break, not so much a Break

I don't know how I ever got anything done in the summer with all of my kids home. Spring break has been a great reminder of that! I've had very little time for blogging, blog reading, crafting, or much of anything that has to do with free time, quite time or time to myself.
We did manage to do a few fun things like go to the beach(of course I forgot my camera), took my girls to see 'Hanna Montana'(it was actually pretty good), took a trip to my brothers, and managed to make it to a few Antique shops and a Flea Market.

Hunting for Easter eggs even the day after Easter is fun!

I bought these unbelievably cool vintage Ad's on Etsy from thebabykitties shop. I can't wait to frame them.

She also sent me a surprise package of some of the things I love♥ A Mary to add to my collection, the sweetest baby lamb planter and some of the cutest little figurines.

I love vintage fabric. These squares are from a quilt I bought awhile ago, I swear it seems like I discover a new piece everyday.

Did I mention I love vintage fabric?

Build It Yourself Studio

I seriously need(well maybe not need, but want) one of these Wood Storage Sheds, which I would use as a crafting/work studio.

Flickr backyard studio finds:

1. SERIEGA4, 2. Becky Mason's Studio-2008, 3. The "artist studio" in the back, 4. My Backyard Studio (think it, make it, live it...)

This little backyard studio is my all time favorite! The lucky owner is Lori Marie of one of my favorite etsy shops Prettylilthings. You can go here if you'd like a glimpse at the inside.

1. tiny house front

Aren't these the perfect solution for anyone who doesn't have enough room in their home for their own craft room/studio?? I'd be the happiest girl on earth if I had one :)

Shopping List Saturday....Custom Design

I love the idea of "You design it, we'll make it", how great is that?? Here are a few of my very favorite items by Etsy sellers who offer this service.

This first one is too cute and one of my favorites~ I'm buying it for someone for Mother's Day.

Mother's Day print, You design it~ We print it, by: olliegraphic

I wish this had been around when my kids were in diapers! This is pretty amazing, you can pick your own fabric by going to a link in the listing that sends you to her flickr page~ and there you'll find about forty different beautiful fabric choices to choose from~ WOW!

This last one has been in my favorites for awhile. A custom self inking stamp~ I love the decorative border around the name & address.

Work From Home Mom's Worst Enemy....

Two bite cupcakes! First of all, does anyone ever have just one?? I bought these for my kids because I haven't had the time to bake any lately. Unfortunately I got into them before the kids got home(when I heard them calling me from the kitchen). Do four two bite cupcakes= 1 Cupcake??? Lets just say Yes, or better yet 3/4 of a regular sized Cupcake. Now I don't feel so bad :)

These would be the only Cupcakes safe in my home:

Scented Cupcake Bath Bombs by: Grumpygirl

Chocolate Cupcake Lip Balm by: StarbornAlchemy

Faux Very Cherry Pink Cupcake by: JenniBOriginals

Peanut Butter Brownie Jumbo Cupcake Candle by: candleconfections

They all look so yummy, I'm not sure I wouldn't at least try licking them??

Papier-Mache'

I think we've all done papier-mache' as kids~ I remember loving it! I bought the book Papier-Mache' Treasures with Teena Flanner~ Creating Your Own Vintage-Style Collectibles a couple years ago and have been meaning to give it a try. The book is gives you step-by-step instructions on what you would need to get started(including exact materials/supplies you'll need). She also shows you how to make your own mold using a figurine. To see more Teena Flanner Originals visit her website or Blog.

I also found a tutorial worth checking out over at Ultimate Paper Mache, they show you how to make these cute Bluebirds.

These are seriously cute and a great place to start!
I remember using liquid starch and strips of newspaper, but you can find a recipe that works best for you here.

Some fun Flickr Inspirations:
