This little Pink hose is the reason I decided I need to get started working on my backyard/patio for Summer. It's by Cynthia Rowley from her Whim collection at Target.

I keep Magazines in my car in case I'm ever sitting and waiting for anything like kids getting out of school, Ortho. appointments etc...
I've looked through this issue(Country Living June 2008) many times and for some reason the other day was the first time I remember noticing the hose. I couldn't get home quick enough to get to the computer and see if it's still available. Unfortunately they're not :( Oh, I had already pictured in my mind how cute it would look in my front and backyard.
With or without the hose, I'm working on turning my backyard into a comfy outdoor pastel haven. With my kids almost out of school for the summer, working on turning the backyard into an extension of the house~ a place where they can go to relax, read or just get away from one another will probably be more important to me than to them.
This wrought Iron table & chair set was abandoned in an alley way. I was visiting a friend when I spotted it, and couldn't get it into my car quick enough in case someone else noticed the treasure I was looking at. It just needs a glass top, seat covers and a good coat of paint.

It should look more like this, I think I'll be painting mine pink, blue or minty green??

This is my Vintage glider that I love, but have totally neglected. When I bought it about four years ago it was yellow~ so I painted it white. Now, I think I'll paint it pink & blue. I can't wait to find the perfect vintage sheeting to make cushion covers and pillows for it.

I really like the idea to change a metal chair into a planter. It's a great way to reuse an old chair.

I also keep old magazines in my car to read during that idle "kid" time. I love that pink hose. Your table and chair find was great - I saw a great idea the other day with a table like that - instead of the glass top (which can be expensive and hard to keep clean) they had covered a piece of plywood cut to size with burlap. Just stapled it to the back - it was really cute.

It looks like you are on your way to a lovely outdoor space. I like your ideas. That's a good idea for the magazines. Maybe I will do that.
