A Favorite Artist...

This is the second time I've ordered from the super talented artist PinkyToast. Unfortunately they've been gifts for others. I had to snap some photo's before wrapping them{actually they were already wrapped when I realized I hadn't taken any pictures of them, so now I need to re-wrap them}.
They're even better in person~ the colors are amazing.
I love how they look in these frames. Normally I use vintage frames, but since they're a gift{and I didn't have any the right size}I picked these up, and think they look beautiful.
I could have her artwork all over my house♥

Happy Mail and New Projects

I ordered this pack of pastel Bakers Twine on Etsy the other day{from bellacreationz4u}, it's almost too pretty to open and use.
Nothing dresses up a package like pretty twine, especially against plain paper. There's so many fun things you can do with it.

Here's something I recently finished. I've had requests in my Etsy Shop for Cork boards{usually my boards are magnetic, but I guess some people prefer to be able to pin things to their boards} so here's a version I came up with using two fun ornate frames.
I have lots of projects waiting to be started, and a few ideas I'm looking forward to trying. I feel like I've had the summer off, and now I'm going back to work♥

Upcycled Flea Market Finds

This has become a new addiction of mine. In the past when I've found a vintage framed mirror I would automatically turn it into a chalkboard or memo board. Now I love taking ornate mirrors and upcycling them~ turning them into colorful wall decor.

I found a box of these old drawer pulls that I knew would look much better painted....

I have more to share but my camera batteries died, I'm up to my ears in back to school shopping and school registration. 13 days til everyone's back in school, peace and quite for a whole 6 1/2 hours a day, five days a week. woo hoo! I know I'm not the only mom who's excited about this :)

It's almost over.....

Summer, that is. Although it's my favorite time of year and I love having my kids home, I can't say I'm not looking forward to everyone going back to school. I sure do miss the sound of nothing{peace and quiet}.
I also realize there will only be so many more summers left until my kids are grown and gone. That's what I remind myself of when things get crazy{and I've heard "MOM" yelled for the thousandth time in one day}.

I'm not sure what I'll do with all my free time? Hopefully not spend too much time on sites like Stumbleupon.com{that's where I found this video~ Oh Boy!!}


I'm hoping to get lots of work done{fill up my Shop} and spend time going through all my Bookmarked tutorials getting crafty!
