has me wanting to iron & sew like crazy! After using an iron for the past couple years that I had to jiggle the cord to get to work{then prop it up and try not to move once the light came on}not to mention it was like playing the lotto, sometimes it would leave a burn mark and sometimes it wouldn't! So my new iron is like a dream...I seriously LOVE it!
So, I decided to make something. I wasn't sure what it was going to be at first. A tote, a pillow??? It all started with this embroidered sheet that I'd picked up years ago, that's just been sitting and waiting for me to do something with it.
I decided to turn it into a book{or toy} Bag for my friends little boy~ Ben.
That was fun~ I'm still in the mood for ironing & sewing :)

Four Days til Christmas....
And I'm no where near done with shopping. It gets so crazy this time of year, I dread getting out into the crowds.
Finally got the tree up and decorated. With not much room in our living room for a tree...it ended up getting squished into this space.
My kids are all out of school for their holiday break. My girls love to bake, so we decided to bake cupcakes. They wanted to make something Christmas~eee{we only had lemon cake mix}so since yellow & blue= Green....
we added blue food coloring to the mix, and ended up with minty green cupcakes.
Since we were using what we had on hand, the only edible red we had: Raspberries. I thought it was a good idea, like little Christmas tree's.
But when they were all done, they stood back & said "they look like nipples...like a plate full of boobs!" NICE! We won't be passing any of these out.
Next time we use sprinkles.

It's not Pastel....
...but I love these colors.
Even though this old wicker rocker is no longer for sitting, I can't bare to get rid of it~ I think I like it best weathered and tattered like this.
Flickr:
1. Carmel Canyon Road Litter, 2. Winter Leaves, 3. The Leaves, 4. Fall in Tokyo, Shinjuku Park
This is totally unrelated, but I came across an Etsy Shop{Deerface} last night that has some amazing art prints. These are just a couple of my favorites.
Love them♥ They would be so beautiful framed!

Away We Go.....
I'm under the weather{still} so I decided to lay in bed and watch this movie...
After passing it up at least a dozen times at the video store I decided to rent it. I'm glad I did. It was cute, sweet & funny~ definitely worth watching. Awesome soundtrack too!

Pink and Blue Christmas
I'm just getting started, but I think I'm going to do an all Pink & Blue Christmas this year.
My daughter and I made a long pink & blue garland out of bumpy chenille stems. I think I still have enough to wrap around the Christmas Tree.
Pink & Blue Etsy holiday decor finds:
{Vintage mercury bulbs}
{Blue Silk Christmas Tree Skirt}
{Pink Christmas Lights}
{Pink Bottle Brush Tree's}
I need to get into the attic to get the rest of my Christmas decorations down. We have rain today...the first rain we've had since I can't remember when?? It feels like the perfect day to get the house ready for the holiday's.

Re-finding things :)
It's always a nice surprise when you come across things you forgot you had. I think it happens a lot as you get older{or once you have kids, something happens to your memory} you hide things or store them away...then when you find them again it's the best surprise "woo hoo, I forgot I had this!".
The funny thing is, I do this almost every time I "re-find" my fabric stuffed into this suitcase!
It's like the gift that keeps on giving :)
This jar filled to the brim with vintage buttons was my latest{unexpected} flea market find. I've been seriously low on my buttons supply, and was beginning to think I may never find more{without paying an arm and a leg} so I was thrilled when I found these!
I'm SO excited about this too!
Ready to stitch Tote, by Sublime Stitching.
Nothing is more relaxing than sitting and embroidering. What keeps me from doing more of it is the whole transferring pattern part~ but you don't have to worry about that step because it's already done for you.
This is what it can look like ♥
I'm also thinking that I might need this awesome Ultimate Starter embroidery kit, it has everything you could possibly need to get yourself started.
I might have to surprise myself with it for Christmas :)

Estate Sales.....
This is why I love them:
I found this vintage{Gurley candle} choir girl to add to my little collection. Made during 1940's through 1970's and sold at most dime stores, these little cuties were mostly used as holiday decor, to display rather than burn.
I love my new girl :)
Another reason why I love Estate Sales: The cool completed projects you'll find! Some crafty crafter made these super cute Santa napkin holders, and I don't think they were ever used. While I'm browsing around an Estate Sale, I'm always wondering about the owner of the things I'm looking through??? I'm sure who ever made these meant for them to be used.
They'll definitely be used on our Christmas table♥
Another fun holiday collectible: little Putz Houses. A friend sent me this one....now I just need to find more to get a little community going.
I've also been working hard{at what feels like a snails pace when you're sick}
Ahhh, I finally completed two Chalkboards for my Shop.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Misc. Good Things....
And it's even prettier in person! I ordered mine over at StitchingitUp {on Etsy} she's super sweet, willing to put a custom order together, and delivers in lightning fast time!
I love the Shop FantasticToys it has some of the cutest plushies and printable paper toys! Where were these when I was a kid? I remember spending hours playing with paper dolls~ I would have loved these printable toys♥♥
If you head over to the Fantastic Toys Blog, you'll find a Tutorial for these darling felt Christmas ornaments. How cute would they be hung on the Christmas tree, used to create a garland or added to a Christmas package~ Thanks Timothy for sharing this super sweet crafty tutorial with us :)
I'm looking forward to a lazy weekend{mixed in with some crafting and projects of course~ I'm awful at sitting still}. I rarely sit around and relax~ that might have something to do with why I haven't been able to get over a cold I've had for almost 5 weeks now.
I rented My Sister's Keeper, I've heard it's a real tear jerker{hopefully the rest of my weekend doesn't consist of me laying in bed and crying}.
I hope everyone has a great weekend♥

Fabric: LOVE
I'm in love with Amy Butler's new LOVE fabric line.
So in love, that I just ordered five of her prints to use on my Inspiration Boards. I'm crazy about the bright vivid colors!!!
Here's a few of my latest vintage frame finds. I'm not even sure how I managed the trip to the flea market, because I've been trying to fight off some kind of lingering cold or flu.
I'm looking forward to my fabric arriving so I can get started on putting some Boards together.
