Crazy Weather & Great Mail!

Wow, today's weather was not the usual California weather. We actually had a Tornado warning{something I don't remember experiencing growing up in California}. I was on the way home from the Post Office when I heard the warning on the radio~ which really freaked me out... I couldn't get home quick enough!
{Los Angeles Times}

The best part of the day, was all the mail that arrived! Soaking wet, but it got here. I spent some time browsing Amazon.com last week, ordered a few books{two for me & one for my daughter} now all I need is the time to sit and read :)

I love Amanda Atkins Etsy Shop, so I ordered one of her Postcards~ it's even better in person and I can't wait to buy more!
Then there's the Yards of awesome fabric I couldn't wait to arrive! Somehow I stumbled onto this great Fabric Shop: Hawthorne Threads.
Sometimes placing an order on-line can be difficult to figure out, and more of a hassle than it's worth~ well this was the exact opposite, and now it's my new very favorite place on earth to buy my fabric!! LOVE these prints :)

Wasn't the weather odd? The kids' school was on lock down for a tornado. They asked me, "What do we do if we are at home and there is a tornado?" I guessed and said to get in the tub! We don't HAVE tornados in SoCal!

I heard the worst storm is coming tomorrow and Thursday! More tornadoes! Crazy. But at least you have some fun books and fabric to play with while it storms.

Thanks doll,

More to come, OH NO!! Yes, this is the craziest weather ever!! Getting in the tub sounds like a really good idea, I think that's where we'll be if another one comes :{
